Why does that matter? A photographer is a photographer, right?
You wouldn’t ask your family doctor to do your heart surgery, would you?
You wouldn’t ask an “ambulance chaser” lawyer to sue a major corporation?
You wouldn’t ask your neighborhood plumber to build you a swimming pool?
In photography, everyone has a specialty as well. CAN we shoot your wedding or a picture of Fido? Of course? But the you will get far better wedding photos or video from someone who does this every day. Someone who has shot hundreds of weddings. Indian weddings. Jewish weddings. Asian weddings. Someone who knows the ins and outs… the pitfalls… the potential issues one can run into at the last moment. Why? Because that’s what they do! All. The. Time.
The same is true in real estate, one of the most difficult types of photography due to lack of control regarding lighting, potential weather issues, mixed lighting sources, and a myriad of other ‘issues’ that can crop up at the last minute to potentially mess up your shoot!
In recent years, but especially during the pandemic, we have seen dozens and dozens of wedding and portrait photographers and videographers jumping into the real estate realm essentially to save their regular business which dried up seemingly overnight. And, we don’t blame them one bit!
However, for most (if not all), real estate is NOT in their wheelhouse and they are just figuring things out as they go along.
