Social media now plays a significant and highly effective way to market real estate, without going through the more standard channels such as the Multiple Listing Service.
As another option, we offer a 60-second cut down of your listing video for use on social media sites, primarily on Instagram, which imposes that 60-second limit.
These short versions are quick highlights of your listing – just enough to prompt an inquiry to see the full-length video, or even more hopefully, a personal showing. These short videos are not meant to show the flow and layout of the home, but merely the highlights, whetting the appetite of the viewer for wanting to see and know more.
Use hashtags sparingly in your posts. Too many hashtags often can come across as spammy, and of course, you don’t want to take away from the message of your post. If you overuse hashtags, you could potentially lose the valuable people that are viewing your posts, and instead, gain random users who really aren’t relevant.
Be thoughtful and deliberate with your use of hashtags. Utilize those you know will get your real estate listing video in front of the correct audience, and remove those that only generate random followers and likes.
